Anyone Want to buy a vehicle?

Hey, all. Thanks for your prayers and well wishes on my job. I was told yesterday at the end of the day that everything was a go for me to move into a sales positon in the used car dept. It looks that that will officially happen on Feb 1. I'm excited to begin my new job and am looking forward to meeting people. I am starting on a salary + commission for the first three months and after that I will be on straight commision. Hopefully I will be busy enough to make a decent living. It doesn't look like that should be a problem.
We were going to post a bunch of ictures that Ashley took at Christmas time but she posted a bunch on her blog so you could go there and see them. She got some really good one's.
We just endured a major blizzard here this last week. The worst in over a decade (20 cm. of snow with 80km/hr winds). The kids were excited to get two days off of school. I, however, was not that fortunate. I just finished cleaning the lot and then last night we got another shot. Oh well, it won't be long and then someone else will have to worry about keeping the lot clean.
Until next time, Abe and Maggie.

Happy Birthday to Me

Thanks to all who posted birthday greetings on our last post. I can't remember that last time I have had that many people wish me a happy birthday (one of the benefits of blogging). We had a greattime at Christmas seeing family and friends again. It seems that as you grow older family becomes more special. We valued the time we could spend with them. Ashley has some pictures that others have not posted, but trying to get her to load them onto the computer so that I can post them seems to be a bit of a challenge. I will try to get some on here soon. We have a great one of Mom's reaction when she opened one of her gifts and found a Brian Deorksen cd.
This is a picture of me with my birthday cake and one of the cars that Brittany got me for Christmas (it's a '71 Chevelle). I am still working at the GM dealership in Grande Prairie. I went for an interview with the used car sales manager today to discuss the possibility of moving into sales. I should find out later this week what's going to happen.
Margaret is job hunting again she is waiting to hear back from Verna (used to be Klassen) who is the manager of one of the local A&W's. She is also thinking of checking out a job in the home and garden dept. at Superstore.
Thanks to all who posted pictures of your Christmas in B.C. Seeing them really makes us want to come for a visit. Good job Art for keeping up the family tradition of 'madach shlope' looks like you did a fine job. And that little Luke, I must say, he is nearly as cute as me at that age! His pictures just make us want to hug him to pieces.
Later. Love Abe & Maggie
